Welcome to The East Lindsey Arts Forum Website!

Introduction

The East Lindsey Arts Forum is a voluntary run organisation that works towards bringing the art community together to promote their art and art events in East Lindsey at the same time providing a platform for artists to network and support each other. The Arts Forum publishes an art magazine called the ‘Quarterly’ which lists an assortment of various art and cultural events in our coastal area. The quarterly is the only art magazine published in East Lindsey that promotes and represents artists, art groups, art and cultural activities in East Lindsey.

Origins of the East Lindsey Arts Forum

In 2007 East Lindsey Arts Forum was formed with the support of East Lindsey Council to try and address some of the unique issues our artists and art community faces. The main focus of the newly formed Arts Forum was communication and the linking up of artists with local audiences. The Quarterly magazine although still developing and finding its way has been successful in bringing the art community together through the magazine and also linking audiences up with the diverse range of art experiences we offer in East Lindsey. Within the Quarterly you can expect to find a real artistic mix of theatre, dance, visual art, comedy, poetry readings to name a few along with local community art groups offering weekly or monthly, hands on art classes run by volunteers and also professional artists offering day courses in Batik, watercolours or oils etc.

The Lindsey Arts Forum is run by volunteers with some administrative support from East Lindsey District Council. The committee meets regularly to discuss the content and shape of the Quarterly magazine and four times a year for members.
